Fun With Lightning

I took this one photo while standing next to my car in the middle of an open field. Yeah. I know.

With all the thunderstorms in North Texas today, I thought I’d share some of what I experienced last week in Oklahoma. Strong storms developed each day just east of I-44. Friday evening I was on top of Mount Scott, a 2,400-foot peak in the Wichita Mountains, when storms started rolling in. So I turned my camera from the sunset in the west to the storms in the east. I then went down to the small community of Medicine Park to take some more video. Here’s a 30-second time lapse set to dramatic music.
